    Typically, one creates a child theme, then copies page.php from the parent into the child and makes it into a “global template“. Editing that file, remove the call to display a sidebar. Then, you edit the CSS for the page’s style (look at the <body> tag to get the page class) to adjust the width of the main sections of the page.
