    Hello there,

I just tried to set up a staging. I took almost 12 hours and failed close to the end of the process.

    The code is: BMI-yrbr02Vo-44306

Thanks so much for the plug in (that works great in all other cases till now) and for the help!

    Hello @mpeg5 ,

The first step to create a staging site is to create a backup of it, where the plugin run into issue.

Your backup failed during database export, mostly due to its giant size.

In the first place, I’d recommend you perform a full cleanup and optimize all your tables.
You can do that easily with the help of a free and simple plugin.
    Check it out: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/advanced-database-cleaner
    – Cleanup won’t remove anything that is in use, so, no worries.

    Then, follow these steps carefully:
    1. Download and install the “Advanced DB Cleanup” plugin
    2. Do a full Cleanup and optimize all tables using the Advanced DB Cleanup plugin
    3. After that you can already remove the mentioned cleanup plugin if you wish
    4. Go to Backup & Migration plugin settings
    5. Open the “Other options” section
    6. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    7. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
    8. Enable database batch export: https://prnt.sc/bn7MjTUxHuEe
    9. Disable space checking: https://prnt.sc/PAlbYsz3RszJ
    10. Save the “Other options” section
    11. Force to end both processes (troubleshooting): https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

After that you can create a new site backup. Once the backup file is successfully created, you can proceed to create a Staging site, and select that backup file as the source.

Let me know if that resolves your issue 🙂
    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I did all this and cleaned quite some content from the media library.
It seems to work now for an external server solution.

I´d prefer to have it locally, the process is stuck at 56%:
But it is not the end of the world, the Backup Migration Plugin is awesome so I easily can set up a stage on another server.

    Thanks and all the best,
    Florian
