The key word in the original request was “automatically” – to have the folders automatically created during the upload process.

I have the same question. It wasn’t answered with either of your responses. If AUTOMATICALLY creating new folders during gallery creation (for example, by date or by album name) isn’t an option in either the free or premium version, I’d like to suggest adding the feature. I would consider using the plug-in, perhaps even paying for it, should it become available.
On a related note, being able to create a new gallery from within the post you’re attaching it to would be a great way to increase productivity, instead of requiring the gallery to be made prior to embedding it.

Please be informed that the folders are automatically being created when you upload the images with a .zip file which contains the folders in it. Unfortunately, the Photo Gallery does not have the mentioned functionality yet., i.e the folders are not being automatically created when adding Galleries. However, the feature you wish to have would be a great addition to the product. So could you please add your suggestion to our Submit Your Idea page?
