Critical error
-
Hi everyone,
I get a critical error in a multisite installation when I enable Mobile Menu. I disabled all other plugins and left only Mobile Menu active, the critical error still exists! When going to the plugins of a multisite website, I can’t deactivate the plugin either. Deactivating is only possible network wide or by renaming the plugin folder via FTP/SSH.
Is there a workaround or a solution for this? I urgently need the Mobile Menu plugin for the websites.
Thanks in advance

can someone please tell me if this plugin is still being maintained?
Hi @seto76,
Sorry for the delay. What specific error do you have in the error.log file?
We don’t have any similar report, so it can be related to WordPress instalation.
Try to run the Site Health check available in Tools-> Site health
hi rui,

hi rui,
is there a solution to this problem?
is the problem caused by my wordpress installation or is it a bug in the plugin?

can you please update me?
what is the current status?in almost 2 months, 1 answer! that’s awesome!!! thumbs up!!!
Hi @seto76,
Sorry once again for the delay. What I have found about this error is that it may happen in a multisite install when the plugins are network-activated.
Instead that activate them locally in each of the network sites.
Will close the topic for now. Let me know if necessary.
I had a similar issue in my multi-site install, and it only seemed to appear when I had “Enable only in Mobile devices” turned on in Mobile Menu Options>General Options>Visibility Options. This was the error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp_is_mobile() in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/mobile-menu/mobmenu.php:273\nStack trace:\n#0 /xxx/wp-settings.php(418): include_once()\n#1 /xxx/wp-config.php(142): require_once(‘/xxx…’)\n#2 /xxx/wp-load.php(50): require_once(‘/xxx…’)\n#3 /xxx/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once(‘/xxx…’)\n#4 /xxx/index.php(17): require(‘/xxx…’)\n#5 {main}\n thrown in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/mobile-menu/mobmenu.php on line 273
Disabling “Network Activate” for Mobile Menu and activating on the individual sites fixed it.
Thanks
