• Hi,

I activated the Forminator plugin and immediately got a critical error on the site (white screen with the standard “There has been a critical error on this website” message). Error Log:

    text

[20-May-2026 05:36:43 UTC] PHP Warning: require_once(C:\Users\user\form\app\public\wp-content\plugins\forminator\library\lib\action-scheduler/functions.php): Failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Users\user\form\app\public\wp-content\plugins\forminator\library\lib\action-scheduler\classes\abstracts\ActionScheduler.php on line 184

    What I did:

    • Installed Forminator (free version from ww.wp.xz.cn)
    • Activated the plugin → site broke immediately

    Environment:

    • Local development environment (LocalWP / similar)
    • Path: C:\Users\user\form\app\public\…

    What I’ve already tried:

    • Deactivated all other plugins
    • Switched to a default theme (Hello Elementor)

    Request:

It looks like the file functions.php is missing from the bundled Action Scheduler library inside Forminator (/wp-content/plugins/forminator/library/lib/action-scheduler/).

Can you please advise on the best way to fix this? Should I delete the plugin folder completely and reinstall, or is there another solution?

    Thank you!

    Hello @azhar64100,

Sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing on your site. Thank you for reaching out to us.

I tried to replicate the issue on a fresh website and followed the steps you’ve shared. However, I could not replicate the critical error. I also notice that the log you shared points to a PHP Warning, which should not cause a critical error.

Could you please check the logs and see if there’s any line that shows “PHP Fatal Error:” if so, could you please share that log with us along with the stack trace? This will help us to further troubleshoot the issue.

I would also recommend you reinstall the plugin once again and see if that helps.

Please let us know how it goes. Awaiting your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh
