When activating theWP Mail SMTP by WPForms plugin I received a critical error. The only thing that I could do after is to go into recovery mode. I received the following error message:

Warning: require_once(/home/u178115p231896/domains/eanseller.nl/public_html/wp-includes/PHPMailer/PHPMailer.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/u178115p231896/domains/eanseller.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Core.php on line 902

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/u178115p231896/domains/eanseller.nl/public_html/wp-includes/PHPMailer/PHPMailer.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php74/usr/share/pear’) in /home/u178115p231896/domains/eanseller.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Core.php on line 902

Is anyone familiar with this issue that could potentially help me?

    Hi @kasper12345,

Thanks for reaching out! It appears that you’re experiencing a file permission issue on your server or something similar.

Please get in touch with your hosting provider with that error details and they should be able to assist you further.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
