    Hello,
    Just after the automatic update of Site Kit last night to 1.149.0 version, we received the following critical PHP error message by e-mail:

    “Uncaught TypeError: call_user_func_array(): Argument #1 ($callback) must be a valid callback, function “handle_failed_email” not found or invalid function name in /app/www/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:324 Stack trace: #0 /app/www/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(348): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array) #1 /app/www/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #2 /app/www/wp-includes/pluggable.php(581): do_action(‘wp_mail_failed’, Object(WP_Error)) #3 /app/www/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-automatic-updater.php(1524): wp_mail(Array, ‘[website_name] Cert…’, ‘Bonjour\xC2\xA0!     Can you tell me what caused this error?

    Thanks for your help!

    Sérey

    Thanks for reporting this @serey. We are aware of this issue that has impacted some users after updating to Site Kit 1.149.0, whereby some Google Analytics data is not available in the plugin dashboard. This likely related to the PHP error you received.

    We are currently investigating and we’ll have an update shortly. It’s a Google Analytics related error, and Google Analytics data is still being collected for your site, with no action is required from your side. You can still view the same reports typically displayed in the Site Kit dashboard from analytics.google.com. If you wish to view Google Analytics data within the Site Kit dashboard, you can revert to Site Kit 1.148.0 however we do expect to have a fix out shortly, so this isn’t recommended.

    We’ll update you once we have an update on this, while also posting updates on a sticky post here in the forums.

    Thanks for your patience on this @serey. We have now released a fix for this which should clear the wider error that was reported, which may have contributed to the critical errors you encountered. Please update to the latest version of Site Kit (1.149.1), at which point you should hopefully no longer encounter such errors.

    Feel free to confirm a fix here after testing out this latest version, or ask if you have any questions. Thank you, and appreciate you sharing the additional insights into this.

    As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.

    Ah! sorry about that, I opened another thread “Email Send not working – There has been a critical error on this website.” as per your email. Thank you.
