You can enable PHP error logging, read this guide: “How to enable debug logging”
https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1751-enable-debug-logging
You will get a PHP log file with notices and errors in /wp-content/debug.log when you get the “critical error”.
Post the content of this file here in the Forum and we can give you a PHP error explanation.
It appears that when a user uses a wrong password, the UM doesn’t know where to send them so critical error appears.
@iscomputerman
Before replying I made tests both with bad password and without password with the Chrome and MS Edge browsers and I didn’t get any “Critical Error” but the correct UM Password error message.
You may have a conflict with another Plugin or your Theme and to get the PHP error message enabling debug logging is the best tool.
