  • Hi there,

When you refer to a critical error, is WordPress communicating this in the logs?
If you have the php_error_log available this would also be very helpful for me.

The first thing I see in the log file is the server memory is quite low at 256M.
It would be better to ask your hosting to raise this to 512M if that’s possible.

After this I would suggest you try another restore and save the restore log file.
If there are problems please share the log file, you could use Pastebin for this.

The reason I’m suggesting this is the problem may be related to low memory.
When not enough memory can be allocated it results in critical / fatal errors.

    Best regards,

    Nick

    Hi

We have increased the memory to 512m and are still getting the critical error

    Hi there,

Looking at the log file is still shows the memory is set to 256MB:
    Apache safe_mode: 0 max_execution_time: 900 memory_limit: 256M (used: 96.5M | 99M)

Could you please correct this and run a test backup once the memory has been raised?

    Best regards,

    Nick
