Hello, I only use the free services of the Jetpack plugin. But now, I can not save or update pages and posts in my WordPress block editor.

Instead I get this error :

“Updating failed. Could not update the meta value of _jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content in database.”

    PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS

  • Hi there,

Sorry to hear you’ve run into that error!

Hello, I only use the free services of the Jetpack plugin.

The error you’re seeing is related to paid content on a website; do you have anything behind a paywall or membership area? It is possible to use those features even with the free Jetpack plugin.

It would help to take a closer look at your site. Could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look?

I do not have any paid or membership content on my website. “link here” I am not using the “Paid content block” in any area of my website.

    Hi @jemalwp,

Thanks for sharing the link. I checked and your website is not connected with Jetpack properly.

To fix this please delete and reinstall the Jetpack plugin.

Let us know if the issue persists after you have re-installed Jetpack and we can investigate further.

Hello there – could you please download the below plugin, upload and activate it on your site:

Once activated, it will remove any stale Jetpack data on the site (including the settings you have set in Jetpack) and the plugin will uninstall automatically.

After that, please uninstall and reinstall the Jetpack plugin, then try to connect again.

    Hello @jemalwp,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
