Critical error

I’ve been using this plugin for quite a while now. If it works, then it works, duh… but I encountered two issues that seem to be reoccurring.
First; updating the plugin takes more than ‘several minutes’. It may actually take up more than an hour…
Second, today it gave a critical error on a WooCommerce product-page. Deactivating the plugin immediately solved the error, but my client is really adamant about using a review option.
I can’t really find out why this happens. Help is appreciated.
