• Had to contact my host and have them disable the plugin. It had a critical failure and locked up the admin dashboard. Admin password was no longer recognized. Resetting admin password did not work on the admin login page. But once the host disabled the plugin I was able to access admin dashboard once again. I removed the plugin to be on the safe side. Not sure what happened, it worked fine for a full day once it was installed. Shame it had to be removed.

    Hello @glipham2015

I hope you’re well today and I’m sorry to hear about the issue.

Hustle is not “messing around” with user accounts and, especially, access credentials like password. This means that while it was causing the issue, it must have been interfering in some other way. The fact that removing the plugin helped, confirms that.

It would also mean that, taking into account that it was actually working before, it can most likely be solved in other ways but we’ll need some more information on the case.

Could you tell me please if you were getting any specific error messages?

Did you or your host spot anything unusual (especially anything that seemed related to the case) in server logs such as e.g. PHP error log?

Were there any changes made to the site right before that started to happens such as e.g. some updates or significant changes in site configuration? If yes, could you tell me more about them?

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hey,
Yes I did receive an email from the site around 1:30 am. That’s what prompted me to get up and go check it out. My host provides 24 hour tech support, so I was fortunate in that respect.

The error message I received contained the following:

WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Hustle.
    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 10 of the file /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/inc/providers/mautic/hustle-mautic-api.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/vendor/mautic/api-library/lib/MauticApi.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php72/root/usr/share/pear’)

    Hi @glipham2015,

Do you have any other plugins that use Mautic integration on your site?

And could you provide us with some more information about your installation, which WP and PHP version do you use and where is your site hosted, does it use NGINX or Apache?

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Sure thing.

I’m using WP Version 5.2.3 with WooCommerce Version 3.7.0

I don’t believe anything else is installed that would have been using Mautic integration. The host is running NGINX Cache Manager for WordPress.

    Hope the info helps.

    Hello @glipham2015,

What about the PHP version used on the server?

Is it possible to run a full conflict test as shown on the flowchart (with Hustle enabled):
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif
(have a backup before doing this)

If Hustle was working before and then suddenly started to throw an error – it might be because there was recent update and something is now causing conflict.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
