    Hello,

I’m using backwpup for many years and I’m very happy with its stable cron services. I’m using 2 different schedules for “datatbase” and “Data” backups. It worked fine for many years. But suddenly, I guess with update to v5 these cron jobs don’t run any more. I have to do the backups manually. Looking for “schedule settings” this is what is told there:

Current cron expression is not supported by this UI. 0 3 * * 1

What can I do to set this backup settings up again so that I can use it as reliable as it was before?

    Best
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

With the update to v5, the scheduling system has changed, and some existing cron expressions may not be supported in the new UI. However, if your previous cron schedule wasn’t migrated properly, your backups should still be running in the background unless manually modified.

We are actively working on bringing back custom scheduling in the free version, so this flexibility will return soon. In the meantime, you can:

    1. Manually trigger backups as needed.
    2. Use the built-in scheduling options (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) for now.
    3. If you still have your old setup intact, you may roll back to version 4.1.7 while we work on improving scheduling options.

We appreciate your patience and will update users as soon as custom scheduling is restored. Let us know if you need further assistance!

    Best regards.

    Hi,

You can roll back to version 4.1.7 by downloading the older version from the following link:
    👉 Previous Versions of BackWPUp

Once downloaded, you can install it manually via your WordPress dashboard or FTP. Let us know if you need further assistance!

    Best regards.
