Hey @wpkiller – thank you for your message and for using SPAI.
Please note that the original image:
https://www.thebp.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/%D7%A9%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%9B%D7%AA-%D7%A4%D7%A8%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9D-190%C3%97300.jpg
returns a 404 error message.
This is the reason why you’re seeing that “Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) blocked cross-origin response” issue.
Best regards,
Alex
Indeed there’s no such image, but if you notice – there’s a size added to the image (apparently by ShortPixel), 190×300. If I edit the post, I see the featured image is shown correctly, but without the size.
Can you please confirm if SP is adding the size to the image name?
If you follow the post’s link, you’ll see the post is showing the image correctly (with not size added to the image name). Here’s the link to the post itself:
https://www.thebp.co.il/%D7%A1%D7%A7%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%94/%D7%A9%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%9B%D7%AA-%D7%A4%D7%A8%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9D-%D7%A1%D7%A7%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%94-%D7%A9%D7%9C-%D7%A9%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%9F-%D7%91%D7%A6%D7%9C%D7%90%D7%9C
Well, actually when I follow the link I pasted, I again don’t see the image and a jpg file is actually asking to be downloaded. So I’ve downloded it, but it’s a text error message showing:
{“Status”:-1,”Message”:”No file stored for this URL.”}
Can you please confirm if this is an error generated by ShortPixel?
Just to add some more info – the image full link in the site’s code is https://cdn.shortpixel.ai/spai/w_200+q_lossy+ret_img/https://www.thebp.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/שמיכת-פרחים.jpg while the image link itself without the shortpixel addition is working properly.
I think you have some kind of a problem. Maybe that’s because the file name is in Hebrew?
Having said the above, this link also have a Hebrew named file, but is showing with no issues.

EDIT: It’s NOT showing when clicking the link I’ve pasted above, but when following the post from within the site, it works.
I’m totally puzzled about this issue now…
PS: I’ve unlinked it from CloudFlare to make sure it’s not something with them. Also deactivated cache plugin. Still the issue presist.

Ok, I had no other way than deactivate shorpixel, which is really unfortunate because I’ve bought it for its CDN capabilities which I can’t use now.
Hi @wpkiller,
I just wanted to update you about this.
While internally testing our plugin, we found a small issue with SPAI affecting Hebrew characters. It should be solved by now 🙂
I suggest you purging the CDN cache (if not all the CDN, the problematic images) following this article.
Cheers!
Wow! Thanks for that! (Sorry for being offline the last 2 days).
I’ll surely retry and update if all is ok now.
I can already say that it looks ok for (after changing SPAI to SPAI2 in the settings).
I’ll ask some of the site’s authors to check it works for them too.
By the way, I assume you don’t need access to the site anymore. Correct?
That’s right @wpkiller, no need for access anymore 🙂
