Do you have your site accessible via https as well?

    Not to my knowledge.

What is your site URL and can you point me to a post that displays this?

Hi, it seems like your site is accessible via https as well:

    https://www.sandalsand.net/pics-portugal/
You’ll see that the related posts are displayed in this case.

However, you get a notice on the SSL certificate. When using the http link for the first time, the browser doesn’t load the https links because of this notice.

If you have the cache enabled, and for some reason the https link was visited first, the plugin adds the https there and caches the output.

The easiest way to fix this is install an https certificate for your site. Until then you can also disable the cache, but, this is at the cost of performance.

I’ve also filed this conflict in the tracker: https://github.com/WebberZone/contextual-related-posts/issues/43

I don’t get it. My site is not accessible via https and never has been.

In fact, clicking the link opens a warning page. One has to remove the “s” to access the proper web post. Once open, the CRP links at the bottom reveal “https” links instead of “http”.

How they got there in the first place I wouldn’t know.

I’ve emptied all kinds of caches a number of times. It’s a recurring problem like I said, and I can’t find any logic in it.

What is this suggestion of disabling the cache? And what cost of performance are you hinting at?

You get a warning on your https site because the correct certificate isn’t installed. If you ignore the warning you will go through and view the site.

I assume you have the CRP Cache active (via settings page)? If so, then you can disable this cache. This will cause the plugin to regenerate the the posts on the site load which impacts the performance.

However, If you’re using a cache plugin like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache, you should leave these activated as these can definitely serve to speed up your site massively.
