• Hi!

My client’s website has Autoptimize installed, but according to Google PageSpeed Tools, CSS and JS aren’t minified. The exact same settings are used with my own website where CSS and JS are minified as normal. This site is hosted with a different web hosting service, though.

I already followed the recommendation to disable ‘Save aggregated script/CSS as static files?’, but this doesn’t seem to make a difference.

    Anything else I can do?

    Thanks!

    Rosa

hard to say … is GPSI saying “not compressed” or “not minified”? and if the latter, is GPSI talking about 1% (which is pretty irrelevant) or significantly more? and when looking at the CSS or JS source, do you see it’s not minified indeed or are part minified and other parts not?

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

GPSI is recommending to minify CSS and JS, no recommendation to compress these files. The mentioned reductions for these files are 13%, 41%, 22%, 11% and 11%.

From the URLs it looks like they are indeed not minified.

    Thanks again!
