@quoindesign – I’m not seeing a NextGEN Gallery display on the page you offered as an example of the issue … without a display on the page NextGEN Gallery should not be loading any related stylesheets or specific JavaScript. It appears to be working as expected.

Hi,
Had to take down the broken portfolio. Here’s a page with the portfolio, as well as a slider that is having very similar problems: http://francoiseweeks.com/gallery-test/
Seems to be intermittent. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn’t.
Honestly, I think the problem is with the theme, not your plugin, but I haven’t made headway on why, so far.
@quoindesign – We just released a new public beta … you can find it here: http://nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/
It might help with your issues … you can expect it to be the next stable release so you might want to take it into consideration as part of your troubleshooting if the theme is not at the root of this problem.
Thanks!

Unfortunately the update didn’t work.
My developer flagged this issue:
Looks like my original assessment was wrong. From what I can tell there was some javascript not loading and it seems to be because an attribute was missing in one of the gallery tags that was generated. If you look at the code produced when you put in the gallery you get an img tag. It needs to have the attribute data-mce-placeholder=”1″ in it (I’m not sure if the value is always 1, but that’s what it showed me). That *should* be automatically done, so either it was removed or there’s an issue with it being placed in the code.
Does that help at all?
@quoindesign – If you have the current version installed and are still seeing this issue, try removing the specific display and re-inserting it to see if that works.
As noted, the detail should be rendered automatically so if it is not then it could be a conflict with something else on your site … especially if there are any other image related plugins active.
Thanks!
