CSS for Pinterest Inspired Layout

    It was with great interest that I discovered “Contextual Related Posts”. It works right out of the box, has many customization options, is well maintained and up to date.

    My objective would be to switch our website to “Contextual Related Posts” from “WordPress Related Posts” – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/. This older plugin is no longer maintained by the developer but has a “Pinterest Inspired” theme:

    The layout of this “Pinterest Inspired” theme can be seen at the bottom of the following post below the Contextual Related Posts block on the link:
    https://focusingonwildlife.com/test-platform5/the-plight-of-the-short-ear-a-wild-dog-in-trouble/. Features and settings of this theme are as follows:

    1) thumbnails set to a width of 150px and height “0” (no cropping).
    2) title positioned below the thumbnails.
    3) thumbnails wrap around each other.

    Is this a theme which could be added to “Contextual Related Posts”? Alternatively how could I modify the plugin to achieve this “Pinterest Inspired” layout?

    Is it the You may also like section?

    I don’t know the CSS code personally, but the answer is that yes you can potentially add that to the plugin given it is mainly CSS code.

    Do you have this CSS code handy, so I can take a look?

    Yes, it is the “You may also like” section where WordPress Related Posts displays the “Pinterest Inspired” theme.

    You can find the WordPress Related Posts plugin on the link: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/.

    The Pinterest.css file can be found in the folder: wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/static/themes/pinterest.css.

    Please study the pinterest.css file to see how the layout has been achieved.

    Hoping you will be able to develop and integrate a Pinterest inspired theme into the Contextual Related Posts plugin.

    Let me take a look at it when I have a moment as I think I might be able to do something about the style as they also follow a ul/li system

    No I haven’t been able to. My day job has kept me pretty busy the past month and I don’t think I’ll be able to look at this at least until the end of December given my workloads.
