Am I missing something or are the fields for adding CSS ID and Class missing from the latest version? I used to have a tab with a gear icon. Has this feature been moved to the Pro version only?

    Hi @hommealone,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We’ve checked all editors using the latest version of Widget Options, and we can confirm that the CSS ID and Classes are still available in the free version of the plugin.

Here are the screenshots on our end for your reference:

Thanks and let us know if you managed to see your CSS and Classes tab.

    Kind Regards,

Thanks Mej. I’ve re-checked, and our tabs still look like the screenshot I posted here previously. I don’t have the tabs as icons, and there is no gear icon tab. We have the latest version installed (4.1.1). We use the classic editor and Classic Widgets. I haven’t changed the plugin settings; we still have the same settings for Classes and IDs:
Show ID Field: Enable ID Field
    Classes Field Type: Both

Besides the classes elements, we also no longer have access to the checkbox to “Hide Widget Title”.

Why might we have different tabs than the expected tabs? What an we do?

    Hi @hommealone,

For us to test this on our end, could you please provide the following details?

    • Your WordPress version
    • Your website’s theme and its version
    • Your PHP version

This information will help us troubleshoot the issue more effectively.

Also, could you let us know where to find the page shown in your screenshot?

    Looking forward to your update!

Hi Mej, thanks so much for checking on this. Unfortunately, sometime “life happens” in between forum posts (imagine that!) and I have been unable to follow up with all of your suggestions so that I can report back to you. I intend to, but won’t have the opportunity until at least next week sometime.

If we can leave this unresolved until then, that would be great. If you instead need to be able to close your tickets, let me know the best way to get back to this when I finally have answers for you.

Thanks again, I appreciate your help!

    Hi @hommealone,

Thanks for the update, and no worries at all — we completely understand!

We’re happy to leave the ticket unresolved for now. Just get back to us whenever you’ve had a chance to try out the suggestions. There’s no need to open a new ticket; simply reply to this thread when you’re ready, and we’ll pick it up from there.

    Kind Regards,
    Mej, Widget Options Team
