  • Hi,

    Thanks for your report! This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next version.

    @michaelsam, you can copy the nggallery.css file from ./wp-content/plugins/nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/css/nggallery.css to your theme folder and it will work 🙂

    thx ovidyou – do you also know why this works – is my custom profil the problem, do i have to add something to any file there ?

    @michaelsam

    If you go to the Style page, you’ll see which CSS file it has selected. If you want a custom one, you can add it there.

    sorry for proper missunderstanding, i’m not using the standard theme of wordpress, i began a year ago to administer this page, itself exists since 2008. so i think the theme which is used is also old like this. so my question is, is there something i have to update necessarily in this wordpress theme.

    i’m using the standard css from nextcellent.

    No, then there is no problem 🙂

    Did you do the database upgrade for NextCellent? If you did, it’s weird you had to manually copy the css file.

    i think nextgen has been installed in 2008, i upgraded wordpress in october. my problem before was nexgen, cause of nextgen i was unable to upgrade wordpress, so i switched in october to nextcellent. is there any special entry in the database to check or to delete ?

    Did you go to the overview screen of NextCellent? If so, did you see the Overview screen or a screen that said something with database update?

    in october ? – sorry but i don’t remember

    Ah, nevermind then. If it works now, there shouldn’t be any problems anymore.

    thx anyway for your responses.

    but still i’m interessted to solve the problem instead to make a (very good) wokaround (which i’m also very thankfull about). 🙂
    so if there is anything missing in the database or in the theme and anybody knows it, please tell me.

    Well, let me fill you in then.

    A while ago, NextCellent had an update that changed the way the stylesheets (css) are loaded. To make it work properly, you had to do a database upgrade. To to that, you should have gone to the NextCellent Overview page (with the box that tells you how many images you have), and a screen would show up that told you you need a database upgrade. That upgrade converted the old style mechanism to the new one. If you didn’t do that upgrade for some reason, the old version would still be in the database, but NextCellent would look for the new one.

    To fix this, you need to go to Styles, and select a style and press save. This saves the new style in the database. Afterwards, you can change it back to whatever it was before.

    thx for response,
    css file is part of ngg_options in wp_options, but still its only working with the workaround in 4.1
    s:7:”CSSfile”;s:103:”……./wp-content/plugins/nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/css/nggallery.css”;

    That should work. If the full path is in the database, it should work.

    there is the real full path – but it does not 🙁

    SORRY – this is wrong – i made a testpage and this part has not been changed to the test path. also not when i saved the css again. – i will test it after i changed this
