CSS required? and more

    I was told WordPress was THE blogging platform if you have your own URL. Well, got it now, and boy, am I lost. Three questions for starters:
    1. Do I have to know CSS or html to use my blog?
    2. Can’t I choose my own date to post? I get behind often, but have a running doc on what I want to write about on which day.
    3.) I’m using Atahualpa 3.2, because it said it could be reworked easily. Really? Where do I find directions on what all those tabs are for? And particularly, it was supposed to be easy to make my own background. I can’t even find where to change the photo.

    I have seen all the documentation, but I’m fairly certain “War and Peace” is a quicker read. I got WordPress because I finally gave up trying to learn html, after 3 years of trying. Still not entirely convinced css is even English. (html is easier, and I couldn’t do that.) Do I have a shot at learning how to use this blog? I’ve blogged on Blogger and Bravehost for over 6 years.

    to use it? no.

    2 of your questions have very little to do with using wordpress and more about the design aspects, btw.

    from the theme authors web site, I imagine.

    Yeah, look on the right hand side of the screen. there’s a field for changing the date. Its there. trust me.

    Killing a dead horse, there is a learning curve to everything, wordpress is no different. I doubt anyone can answer that question except you. We dont know you, or your skillsets, etc.
