Using Post Grid #2 – which is a free pattern? – I don’t see any of the overlaid text or multi colour effects. I always get the images and basic header text underneath, which is not great (see my site). Shame cos it looks so good in the FSE preview, but looks basic on the site.

I’ve disabled all the other plugins bar PostX and it still does it! So it’s not another plugin clashing. I’ve purged caches, cleared browser caches, etc.

Using WP 6.2.1 with a FSE child theme of TwentyTwentyThree. The PostX part is the ‘RANDOM PODCAST‘ block in the footer.

    Hi @timbearcub ,
Thank you for reaching us. I can see you have used our block inside the template part of the TwentyTwentyThree theme. That’s why CSS isn’t working for our blocks. For the time being, you need to use our saved template to generate the shortcode and then use it to template parts.

Our developer is also working on this issue and hopefully very soon you will be able to use our blocks directly on Template parts.

Given that shortcodes have just been disabled in templates, rather wary of using them, since there was a massive security hole because of shorcodes in templates? (That’s why I switched to PostX in the first place?)

I am even quoted in this article about it! https://www.searchenginejournal.com/wordpress-update-6-2-1-causes-some-websites-to-break/487358/

It’s apparently fixed ??? but given it seems WordPress is moving away from shortcodes generally, I’d rather not use them.

    Hi @timbearcub ,

Our development team is already working on this issue and they are very close to an optimal solution. If you do not want to use shortcode you need to wait for the update then.

    Thank you!
