• Hi,

I had problems with Autoptimize a few weeks ago, one of them being that I cannot now edit the colours or add logos to Age Gate – it’s just a white page with a yes/no button on it.

I’m having to use a different age verification plugin for now, but I’d love to use Age Gate again – is there a way to remove any CSS, Javascript, et al, which buggers up Age Gate, that Autoptimize left behind?

    Hi @deeveearr

Any idea what settings you used the made it break? So far unable to bork it for myself!

    Thanks

    Hi Phil,

Sorry for the delay, been on holiday.

Using Age Gate with WP Rocket, then decided to try Autoptimize with it, due to WP Rocket saying that they were compatible.

Dunno, they might well be on light coloured websites, but on dark websites, they leave a little to be desired.

Had to throw a bit of CSS in to make the menu black again, but no such luck with Age Gate, as even the ‘appearance’ tab doesnt work now, and shows a plain white page with the accent colour from the theme (yellow) buttons.

    Hi @deeveearr,

Sorry, was my turn to be away and just generally swamped.

Did you manage to get this working?

    Thanks
    Phil

    Hi @philsbury

    No, not really.

I masked the menus with some CSS to turn them black again, but Age Gate is having none of it.

I’ve had to delete Age Gate and use a different verification plugin.
