The backgroud color is defind in “red.css” line 1669 for:
.comment article, .trackback article, .pingback article
You can add alternativ css for the comment list in Admin section (Settings -> Guestbook -> Comment list settings -> Comment list styles).

On my guestbook page the comments box is white, and some of the text displaying in the box (the time stamp, date, links, etc.) are also white. Where do I insert HTML or CSS to change the background color and the text color, and what could you show a sample of the codes?
