CSS/JS Minify not minifying files

    I’m trying to use W3TC on this new site and I went to the minify area, clicked on Rewrite URL structure in the General area, Enable, Inline CSS minification and Inline JS minification in the HTML/XML area and enabled CSS and JS minify settings. However, I check the source code and I don’t see any minify or combining of files taking place. Am I doing something incorrectly in the settings?
