There are a number of plugins that will allow you to import custom post types (and custom fields) from a CSV.

WP Ultimate CSV Importer https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-ultimate-csv-importer/
I have not tried either of them, however, so I cannot guarantee the success.

As for the 404 – thanks for the head’s up. The real link is here: http://lautman.ca/simple-directory/simple-directory-documentation/. It’s a work in progress, as is the support forum you’ll find there. I’ll probably test this situation out, and add it to the docs. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
