CSV Export issue with text area field

Some text areas fields casues problems when I export to CSV. Some of the text area fields are broken down into two or three rows on the sheet, and it’s not always because the user typed a comma.

Hope you’re doing well today! I am sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing.

I tried to replicate the issue on my test site, however, the export for the text area field was intact and exported fine. I also tested adding commas to the text, and the export still looked fine.

It looks like the issue could be form-specific. In this case, would you mind sharing your form export with us so that we can check and try to replicate the issue once?

Here is how you can export the Forminator Form: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

You can use a service like Google Drive or Pastebin.com to upload the form export and share the URL with us.

Please feel free to remove (if any) sensitive information from the form.

It happens to me on all forms and on two different websites

We are still unable to replicate it, I also tested importing the CSV to Google Sheets but it just worked:

Could you export your form so we can verify it with all your fields?

Are the websites on the same hosting / PHP version?

Yes, both sites are in the same hosting and I’ve tested with 7.4.33 and 8.3.6 php versions

Thanks for exporting the form, after performing a few tests I was not able to replicate the issue.

This is how it looks during the opening/importing of the CSV to MS Excel:

I have done a new form Contact with no real data:

No problems found today … doing more tests I think that my problem was to select import from CSV in Excel and if I use import from text/csv menu the sheet works well.
