• Trying to load data from a CSV file. I have added 5 or 10 at a time, but frequently it either loads 1 of 5 records, or says it has loaded 1 of 5 but none are loaded. At this point, I am seriously questioning whether to continue on with this tool.

    It’s hard to tell what is going on there, usually the error messages are more specific. There could be problems with your CSV file. Also, sometimes it doesn’t look like records are getting added…depending on the import settings, an incoming record that matches an existing record won’t be imported.

    I do suggest you try changing the “CSV Imports in the Background” setting, found in the Participants Database settings under the Advanced tab.

    I had better luck when I discovered I had extra spaces in my CSV file. Not sure what caused them, but if I used a text editor to remove any extra spaces (especially between comma delimiters!), then I was able to load 10-20 at a time. But I did have to clear cache frequently, and also frequently got a “503 Service Unavailable message”.
