CSV import issues. Receiving an error

    I exported my inventory file made updates and now when I try and import the file I get an error. “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”
    I exported a file then tried importing it with no changes made and I still get the error. I didn’t even open the file. Exported it then tried importing the same file. Same error.

    Hi there! When you say an inventory file, what do you mean, exactly? A product? Are you using the built-in Product CSV importer/exporter?

    Yes I am using the built-in CSV importer/export and yes products. A CSV file of my products.
    I exported my products, made the updates and then tried to import it back in to update them. The import failed with the error. It has been working fine until 4 days ago.
    I can even export a product file using the built-in exporter save it to my computer then turn around and try to import it back in with no changes using the built-in importer and I still get the error.

    Hi @rodsstuff! Thanks for the additional info! Do you have any security plugins on your site that were updated recently that could be causing this?

    Can you send us your system status report? You can find that by going to WooCommerce > Status in your dashboard, then clicking “Get system report,” then “Copy for support.”
