CSV import to replace data in existing form

Hi,

We are working on a project where the table will have regular data updates from an external source (CSV).
Currently it appears we need to create a new table and replace the shortcode on the site everytime we import updated data.
Is it possible to replace existing data in a table instead?

This is for a product serial number search – which updates continually as more stock is sold.
