CSV uploaded but fields not present

    Hi xnau,

    I seem to be able to upload a test csv as the plugin returns this message -:

    “The file datatest-chunk1.csv has been uploaded.

    New columns imported from the CSV file.

    189 records added”

    The current export columns are shown as they should appear too but

    when I go click to “Manage Database Fields” there are no fields present.

    Then I click back to “Import CSV File” and the “189 records added” is gone and the current export columns show a single column headed “id”.

    I have upload options set to”Auto” “Auto” “Create a new record with the submission” “Approved(approved)”

    Is there a step I am missing to upload a CSV?

    This sounds like there is a syntax issue with your CSV. How was the csv generated? If it’s from a spreadsheet, you need to make sure that the top row has the field names for each column. Also, the export must be encoded as UTF-8.

    You can also inspect the CSV using a plain text editor, the format is very simple, you should be able to see if there are problems with the structure.
