    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The actual code for importing a CSV file is the same in both cases (single upload and ZIP upload). So, my assumption here is that the zipping/unzipping is not handling the characer encoding correctly here.
Unfortunately, I have never seen this problem myself, so I can only assume that the program that you use for zipping creates a somehow “wrong” ZIP file, or that the PHP ZIP Extension on your server does not handle the character encoding correctly…
Can you maybe try a different ZIP program?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks for the quick response. I tried different zip tools – same problem, so I guess it’s a server problem… Which is beyond my skills 🙂
I found another way to do what I wanted … So many options with your amazing plugin ! 🙂

    Hi,

yes, that’s likely then. Sorry to hear that 🙁 Unfortunately, I don’t know what we could do about this, so it’s good that you already found a solution to your idea!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
