hi i am facing the same issue. I went through the same processes as you but end up with a yellow time icon that says Import Pending when you mouse over the icon. It also shows No events were imported though it lists my imports in the history.
I also realised the plugin makers did not respond to your query. I was considering to pay for pro but without even getting this to work, i am skeptical about even buying anything or using this plugin altogether.
A post on Facebook brought them to respond with a link here but no replies or helps for this topic given.

I’m happy to help you out here. Sorry for the delay, but this free forum is monitored with less man power unfortunately, and when someone posts a new response to the thread it moves your inquiry back down to the bottom of the queue (as it’s based on how long you’ve been waiting).
Anyhow, could you please confirm for me what version of the plugin you’re using? Also, in order to help, I would like to get some more information from you, if I can:
-First, if you could please test for conflicts by following this documentation? Let me know what you find. This will help me determine how deeply we need to look into the specific configuration of your site, or if this is a bug. 🙂
-Can you send me a link to your site so I can see this firsthand? I’m a visual person, and I can often be more helpful in giving solutions to problems I can see and interact with.
