This problem is likely related to how a particular Theme or Plugin defines the Cufon JavaScript. I will need to look at how it is defined so that I can try and get jonradio Multiple Themes to include the definition when using that Theme or Plugin.
To do that, I need to have a list of Themes you are using, especially the Active Theme and the alternate Theme that you have defined for the page that won’t load and gives this error message.
I also need to know if you are using the WP-Cufon plugin.
Thank you for reporting this problem. I’ll try and fix it once I have that Theme and Plugin information.
For the record, Cufon is a way to render fonts on the server so that you all your visitors don’t have to have the font defined on their individual computers.
Hi jonradio,
my active theme is “inFocus” (old version v1.6), also the alternate theme (the goal is to change color, which the theme don’t allow)
I don’t have wp-cufon, the cufon is included in the theme.
Thanks
I cannot, legally or ethically, get a copy of the source code of the inFocus theme without paying for it. And I have tried, in the past, to get a courtesy copy of a ThemeForest theme from the Theme Author and was greeted with stony silence.
Unfortunately, that is what I would need to even determine if it is possible for jonradio Multiple Themes to be enhanced to correct this problem with Cufon.
It looks like it is time to include a disclaimer on the plugin page stating that the plugin might work for paid themes, but I cannot support it if it doesn’t. For pretty much the same reasons that the ww.wp.xz.cn support forum cannot offer support for paid themes and plugins.
I am sorry that it has to be this way.
Technically, you could still report this issue through ThemeForest support, as your theme purchase prices does include Support. The Theme author does have access to the source code of jonradio Multiple Themes, as my plugin is Open Source, and I am willing to work with him/her.
Update: I’m exploring an alternative approach to this problem.
Stay tuned for details!
Best I can say, after a lot of work on this problem, is that this plugin does not always work with the inFocus Theme old version 1.6. It is not an issue with Cufon as I could not create a situation on my test systems where Cufon somehow did not get defined.
