Hello @fence87,
One of these actions may help you:
1) Check if our IPs are available from your web server: https://cleantalk.org/help/cleantalk-servers-ip-addresses#anti-spam.
2) Check if CURL support and allow_url_fopen (in php.ini) options are available and enabled on your web server. You can ask your webmaster or hosting provider about this.
3) WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → change the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option → Save Changes.
After each action, click “Synchronize with Cloud” in the plugin settings, wait until the rotating icon disappears and refresh the page. Is there a result?
Hi @fence87
Same error here, no changes in configuration made.
I went to my account on anti spam cloud, copied the key and paste it in the field in the settings. The key looks exact te same, but it solved the issue… 🙂
Hello @webteam_tebbens,
Glad to hear the issue is solved for you.
@dimitrycleantalk the issue is back again. After putting a space behind the key, deleting it, and pressing the button to verify, it is gone.
Any suggestions, why the Cleantalk Anti-Spam plugin repeatedly shows the error message “Error occurred while checking account status. cURL error 77: error setting certificate verify locations: CAfile: /home/sudlersv/public_html/wp-includes/Requests/src/../certificates/cacert.pem CApath: none” and displaying red crosses on all protection functions? While having the correct key stored in it’s database?
I see no cacert.pem file in the certificates directory mentioned in the error. Also not after validation the (existing) key. And the certificates directory has 755 access rights, and has no changes since juni 2025.
Perhaps
Thanx!
