Currency switcher + Enabled payment options

    Hello,

    Our store is set to a default currnecy but use the WPML currency switcher to change to EUR, this should then work with the step EPS/Banconnect payments service but they appear disabled due to the default currency.

    These are setup in our stripe account and approved.

    How can we trigger/ensure these payment methods are enabled when the store does support EUR via currency switcher which geoIP changes to EUR for European countries.

    Hi there!

    I understand your concern regarding the EPS / Bancontact payment methods appearing disabled when switching currencies via WPML.

    To enable Bancontact, the store currency must be set to EUR, as Stripe only allows this payment method for EUR transactions. The WPML currency switcher only changes the currency displayed to your site visitors, but it does not change the store’s default currency, which is what Stripe checks to determine available payment methods.

    If you want to enable Bancontact while keeping your store’s default currency as something else, this would require a customization, as it’s not supported natively.
