• Go to http://www.mixningskonsulten.com/beta/

Then scroll down through the page and you’ll see that the highlighting in the menu doesn’t appear as you reach the corresponding sections. It only does on-click.

I’m also using the plug-in “Page Scroll to ID”, if it could have anything to do with it.

    Thank you.

  • I think this is more an issue of the Page Scroll to ID plugin, as that’s the one that’s taking care of the highlighting.

I believe that plugin doesn’t really keep in consideration that the menu can be sticky, so the normal behavior is that when you click on a menu item, the page scrolls down and highlights the menu item in question. But the menu disappears from view, so scolling up or down wouldn’t matter to the menu (since it’s all the way at the top anyway and not visible to the user).

But with my plugin activated that’s a little bit different, obviously. The highlighting on click occurs, so that works. But neither my plugin, nor Page Scroll To ID has a functionality built in that detects the scrolling and then based on that, changes the highlighting in the menu.

I’m not 100% sure about that, so it might be worth to ask the authors of Page Scroll To ID.

It looks like this has been fixed now — I do see the menu highlights change when you scroll.

Can you tell me how this was done? Was it a change in the other plugin?
