• Hi,

I am trying to update my widgets and upon reading the help documentation it tells me that I need a current widgets section in the back end, however I only have available and inactive widgets.

How can I get current widgets to show up, or is there a way to make it work without the current widgets?

    Thanks

    Steph

  • Are you using or looking for a specific widget?

You should have an available widgets area, and an inactive widgets area in the main portion of the widgets page. To the right, you should have a column with widget pods for any widget areas registered in the theme.

    Does that sound about right?

If you’re trying to enable a widget, click and drag it over to the appropriate widget pod in the right sidebar to enable.

Let me know if I am off target, or if you’re looking for something more specific.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes that’s correct, thank you. The right sidebar works but the left one doesn’t. I’m using a storefront theme which is configured for 2 sidebars, but I have no idea why the left one isn’t working…

    Would you happen to know?

Does it work correctly when using the default WordPress 2010 theme?
