Custimizing E-Mail Templates without FTP Server Access

Hi,

how do I edit the templates for emails in the ultimate member plugin without going into the backend of the website through the host? There must be a way since the plugin conveniently shows all the emails sent in the plugin settings. But when i try to customize the emails there, it doesnt save the changes in the email body, only the subject is changed.

I found workarounds where one has to create templates in the backend of the website but that just seems ridiculously complicated and overkill. And i also don’t have access to that as I don’t own the website myself. How is this not possible through the interface of the plugin yet? Or am I doing something wrong?

Alternatively, can I use a free email tool to connect with ultimate member where i can replace the templates? Im thinking mailchimp or something that’s free.
