    Dear guys,

    I am writing to kindly ask you to guide me to sort my categories in the order that I like to be. I have already set my category default sorting in the Appearance => WooCommerce => Product Catalogue => Default product sorting to custom ordering + name, and also, the product categories in widgets are set to category order, but when I try to drag and drop to sort the categories in the list it doesn’t work. The category list is not being changed at all and the drag and drop don’t work.

    I need to know what is wrong with me to solve this issue.

    Hi @houmansoly

    I sounds like the categories are not allowing you to drag and drop them to the order that you would like them to display on your shop page. Is this what you are referring to?

    If so, this kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.     Dear Amanda,

    Thanks for your reply and help. This is exactly the problem that I am facing now, but the solution is a bit complex and time consuming to me. I have already found a plugin to help me to sort and customize all the categories as I wish, and the problem has solved by this solution.
