Custom comment count function

    How would I write a function that takes the comment count, here for example, and arbitrarily adds +5 to this number?

    I have tried combining facebook and wordpress comments successfully, but it slowed things down.

    Or if you know a better way to account for all comments on a post like the one above, please let me know!
