Custom Content Type – how to?
-
I need to create my company website.
together with the usual who-what-how-where info, we have a extensive articles/blog sections, therefore we’d like to use wordpress.I have some doubts thou on how can i use wp to handle other content.
For example, we need few custom content type:
Services, Team, Case studies, each of this with its on set of fields.once i have this, i would like link them to each other using taxonomy:
for example, when i am on a specific service page, i would like to have blocks where i can see related case studies, related articles from blog, related team member, based on tags.Is this something that can be obtained easily with wordpress?
I know there are some plugin to set custom content type.
one i have this, i need to create custom widget to display the related info, decide where and when to display these.if it was other CMS like drupal, we could use VIEWS to create a custom Block, then place it on the desired area of the template, almost with no code.
I dont mind writing some code, but i’d need some direction on how/where to do it.
I just like so much better the backend of wordpress compared with drupal.
thanks!!
