    Hi,

This is a really awesome plugin for academic users. I have 2 questions regarding custom styles.

    1. I don’t quite understand the “URL to CSL-Stylesheet” setting in the post/page. Should I provide a URL to the CSL file I download from https://www.zotero.org/styles/ or there is a direct URL I can use from Zotero? I download the CSL file and put it on my cloud (e.g. google drive) and then reference my publication page to the link to this file but it does not work.

    2. In you blog, you showed an example of the list css style with little icons for PDF and BibTex links. I really liked that css style. But I couldn’t find that in the setting. Is that your customized version?

    Thanks very much!

    EJ

I also want to report one little bug.

When I customize the CSS to show list bullets, there is no way to show numbers instead of markers because you defined the list using “ul” rather than “ol”. In addition, when I add list bullets to the css. For example:

    ul.bibsonomycsl_publications {list-style-type: square;}

The marker will show at wrong places. See here for an example of this bug: http://gewurzlab.bwh.harvard.edu/publications/

    Thanks!

Hi, thank you for the bug report. We just released version 2.1.5 which fixes the invalid markup.

    1) The best way is to download the file and put it on the same machine. You can also add the Zotero Link to test it before, for example http://www.zotero.org/styles/acm-sig-proceedings-long-author-list and do not forget to set select “Use Stylesheet from URL”. If you have problems with a specific style please let us know.

    2) Yes this is our customized version. I fear the used CSS does not exist any more, but if you encounter problem achieving something similar we can also assist you.

    Hi,

    thank you for your report.

I haven’t been able to detect the problem that occurs with some of the CSL files provided by zotero so far. I will add another reply if we found the reason.

For now, the following style should satisfy your needs:
    http://www.zotero.org/styles/american-chemical-society-with-titles-doi-no-et-al

    Kind regards

The feature: “Style from URL” is working as intended.

The problem is caused by the provided CSL file.
It seems that some CSL files provided by Zotero are not working.
To identify those you can test them on:
    http://editor.citationstyles.org/codeEditor/

    Kind regards
