Custom CSS Fatal Error
-
I cannot add custom CSS. I get an error Fatal error: Class ‘CSSTidy_custom_sanitize’ not found in /var/www/rivercruiseadvisor.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-css.php on line 79
Can you help?

Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
This indicates that one of the plugin’s PHP files is somehow missing.
Can you maybe reinstall TablePress from a fresh download?Regards,
TobiasHm? That did not fix it. Is the custom css stored here? … /blog/wp-content/tablepress-custom.css Can I modify that file instead? Thanks, Ralph
What I am trying to do is make the row 1 (header) look better with padding and text alignment here: http://www.rivercruiseadvisor.com/cruise-companies/viking-river-cruises-vs-uniworld-river-cruises/
Hi,
yes, you could edit that CSS file, but that’s just a secondary copy. You would lose the benefit of CSS minification, etc.
It’s really strange that you get a PHP error like that, I have not received any other reports about this…
To rule out any interference, can you try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins and after switching to a WordPress default theme like TwentySeventeen?
Regards,
TobiasThe conflicting plugin is Mailpoet. Tablepress Custom CSS works fine with Mailpoet deactivated.
Hi,
thanks for testing this! That’s really interesting! I’ll have to keep this in mind and will also run some tests as soon as possible. Maybe I can find out what exactly the incompatibility is here…
Best wishes,
TobiasHi Tobias,
I was with this very same problem, but I cannot deactivate the mailpoet…
did you find any solution to this case?
thanks
Hi,
do you mean that you also get the error that “CSSTidy_custom_sanitize” was not found?
Regards,
TobiasHi,
Yes, the same issue:
Fatal error: Class ‘CSSTidy_custom_sanitize’ not found in /home/bibli564/public_html/criptoficina.com/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-css.php on line 79I’ve checked and the file is there, weird issue.
And I’ve just deactivate the mailpoet to test. Tried again to save the css and worked.
However I unfortunatelly cannot leave the mailpoet deactivate 🙁
Hi,
ok, thanks for the confirmation! I assume that this is because MailPoet also loads a copy of the CSSTidy class, but does that at all times and not just when it needs it. This is rather bad coding…
I’ll check if I can find a good way around that.In the meantime, you’d have to deactivate MailPoet whenever you modify the “Custom CSS” in TablePress but can activate it again afterwards.
Regards,
TobiasHi Tobias
Yes I’m doing that, deactivating mailpoet only to update the CSS…
Whether you have a solution please let me know.
Thanks anyway.
Best Regards.
SamuelHi,
good to hear that this will work! I’ll try to add a fix in the next release!
Best wishes,
Tobias
