• Hi, I am one of the admin of this site: http://unitedblogarticles.com

I’ve just started to use your plugin and think it’s a very good tool to put up a table quickly and it looks nice too 🙂 But I have a small question: Can we have custom settings for the CSS in a random row? What I mean is the same result as from this table in which I build in HTML some months ago. Take a look at this:

    http://unitedblogarticles.com/statistics/manchester-united-premier-league-seasons/

… and you will see that my favorite club have the 1st position and I use red text and bold to highlight the entire row. In another table I highlighted Manchester United when they had position no 3. So my question is how to use css settings to highlight a random row regardless of where the club is currently.

This is another table made by your plugin wp-table reloaded and I must say that I really liked it a lot:

    Appreciate a quick answer 🙂

    Hi Andy,

    thanks for your post.

I’m a little confused here with your mentioning of “random”.
Do you really want to highlight a random row (regardless of its content), or do you want to highlight a certain row with a certain content (regardless of its position)?

For the first, please take a look at http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-change-a-cell-color-randomly, where I mention to possibilities. For the second, please see the answer to the question “How can I highlight certain cells or their content?” in the plugin FAQ at http://tobias.baethge.com/wordpress-plugins/wp-table-reloaded-english/faq/.

For that table that you linked to: That is WP-Table Reloaded’s default table layout. It is activated by default on the “Plugin Options” screen, so your tables should look like that automatically (if your theme does not overwrite the table styling). The additional buttons are features that are added by the TableTools extension to the DataTables library, which you can enable on the “Plugin Options” screen and then activate for a certain table on its “Edit” screen.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
