custom desing can't modify easily

    I just got my blog custom design. Designer asked me where do i need to place the ad and i told him what I wanted. Now I want to add more adds different places, I can’t just do it because he need to modify the codes in the template.

    I thought I could just add the ads to anywhere I want without any modifying anything.
    Can someone clear this up for me…

    he wants to charge money to modify the codes. I tried and got an error so i don’t want to touch anything….

    Can someone help me out here..

    This is a major problem with custom designs and now it’s between you and the designer. A good and ethical designer would code the site such that you can change it yourself – -but it sounds like that’s not what happened.

    These forums are not really intended or equipped to deal with custom designs/themes.

    If you don’t want to keep paying someone money, the best thing you can do is to learn enough about WP to be able to make changes yourself. Lots of people on these forums are doing just that — so it’s not impossible. There is tons of really great information in the Codex, in these forums and there are also a lot of great WP books and videos. Also many classes — online and otherwise.
