Custom element containing ajax-loader class

Is it possible to hook on $.fn.wpcf7InitForm or $.fn.wpcf7ClearResponseOutput with a custom jQuery so I can hook on my own elements instead of using the img.ajax-loader.

If this won’t be possible, would you be able to remove the img from the img.ajax-loader identifier (maybe use a more unique class so the action is tight to wpcf7)? So we can use stuff like SpinKit with WPCF7?
