I have a template that the customer wants changed and I have made the correct changes to that template however I want to make sure that it’s not overridden when the plugin gets updated. Is there a place that I should be putting this template so that this doesn’t happen?

Just want to make sure. Thanks for the help.

If you want to prevent your changes from being overwritten when updating the plugin, check out this guide that explains how to copy the template to your theme/child theme so that WordPress always loads that version: https://brightplugins.com/docs/how-to-edit-or-override-the-email-templates-for-custom-order-status/
