Custom excerpt

This plugin is great – but it seems the post type does not have the option for a custom excerpt. It would be nice to have this option, since the event content may include html, media, etc that you don’t want to have show up in the excerpt.

Is this a feature that can be added easily since it is a common function in many post types?
