after more research into item 4, it seems that issue was unrelated to the update. I had a period in the custom field name which it apparently doesn’t like, and that was causing it to not save data for that field.
So consider point 4 resolved.

We just released an update that should correct the issues you were seeing with 4.1.5 (pagination, sidebar, etc.). It’s actually a roll-back to 4.1.3 while we look into exactly what was causing the issues you were experiencing with 4.1.5. Please update to 4.1.6.
